New Bakoa species discovered in Sarawak!

I was shocked to find another Bakoa sp. again in Sarawak! This aroid is super rare in my homeland and this Bakoa is most probably a new species. It is growing in a blackwater river far away from the type locality of Bakoa lucens which was already described by researchers long time ago. 😍

Giant Rafflesia blooming

Giant Rafflesia is blooming in the limestone forest of Padawan now. (86cm in diameter) Researchers said it is either a variant of Rafflesia tuan-mudae or probably a new species!!! (22nd May, 2026)
