The breeding season for blue-throated bee eater (Merops viridis)

The rainy season is almost over soon. Now is the breeding season for blue-throated bee eater (Merops viridis) in Borneo. This insect eating bird likes to dig hole in the sandy ground to build nest.

Bee eater is a very shy bird....but this one comes to investigate our camo tent where we're hiding inside....less than 2 meter away from us!!!

The breeding ground of bee eater: a mini desert in Borneo! Luckily today the weather is not too hot....else our camo tent will become a sauna room.

This flock of bee eater flew around our camo tent cos they were so curious to see this strange "thing"....when they were tired, they all resting on a dead tree near our tent.

Our new camo tent for wildlife photography.
