Birds from Sarawak (part 2)

Now is the breeding season for birds. We found a lot of bird nests lately. End of raining season & beginning of dry season is the breeding season for birds in our region.

Raffles's Malkoha (Phaenicophaeus chlorophaeus) is looking for caterpillar in the forest canopy.

Sunbird is an expert to hunt for bug hiding inside a folded leaf.

Common sandpiper

This male Lesser green leafbird (Chloropsis cyanopogon) is feeding on the nectar of the flowers of a parasitic plant, (Macrosolen cochinchinensis).

Pied triller (Lalage nigra) is busy hunting/feeding the insects on forest canopy of Borneo.

Bird wave! This Raffles's Malkoha (Phaenicophaeus chlorophaeus) is joining other species of birds to form a "hunting party" to hunt insects together. I noticed the squirrels also joining this party.yesterday.
