Another new location of unknown Cryptocoryne discovered in Lundu area. Probably it is a variety of Crypt. pallinidervia.

White-bellied Munia (Lonchura leucogastra) from Kuching of Sarawak. It is a rare species of bird compared to other species of Munia.
Bucephalandra "silver pearl"
Cystorchis sp. (jewel orchid) It looks like leaf litter. I almost step on it cos it is growing in the middle of the jungle trail.
Due to forest clearing, the habitat of Crypt. striolata "green form" has been destroyed. The Soils sediment are washed into the stream & the Crypt. are covering by mud.
Noooo. The forest clearing photos are heart-breaking! However, necessary to see. What is it being cleared for? Oil or coconut palm plantation? I am very much enjoying your flora and fauna photos with descriptions! Do you ever see any understory palm species?
