Cryptocoryne ferruginea (water plant) from jungle of Sarawak

  1. Hello, these are beautiful! I love the pink coloration! What brings out this color in C. ferruginea? Is it simply this location that has the pink leaves, or does it have to do with lighting/water levels/pH/etc.?

    I ask because I have a plant that was sold to me as C. ferruginea 'Sungei Sempit', but its leaves are just green and white, I haven't noticed any pink or grey coloration and I'm wondering if I raised the water level some of the time, would the leaves start to exhibit more color?

  2. This one found near a limestone hill....water is hard & high ph. Maybe u can add coral to see it will change to pink colour or not.
